Uncharted 3 is set to release November 1st, 2011 and it is going to be one of the biggest PS3 releases we have seen thus far. Naughty Dog started developing the Uncharted Franchise back in 2006 and have already released two games, Drake’s Fortune and Among Thieves. With Drake’s Deception and Golden Abyss set to release on the PS3 and Vita respectfully, what will Naughty Dog do next?
Naughty Dog dates way back to the Crash Bandicoot days on the PS1 where they released 4 Games. During the PS2′s reign on top they released another 4 games in their new-found Jak series. Now as they are coming close to tying up their trilogy with Uncharted what options do they have?
—————————————————————————————————-
1) Uncharted Racing
Want? (10%)
Crash got it, Jak got it, will Drake get it? Naughty Dog released CTR way back on the PS1 and then Jak X on the PS2 after finishing the trilogies in these two series. Is it really plausible to create an Uncharted Racing? The reason that it worked so well with Crash and Jak was because of the atmosphere and the story. Obviously Uncharted is set in the real-world where Jak and Crash are not. Since Uncharted games have really placed a focal point on their story telling I don’t see Naughty Dog going and trying to explain how Drake, Elena and Sully all ended up racing against each other in Jeeps.

Please Naughty Dog. Don't
2) Continue the Series
Want? (25%)
I fully expect Drake’s Fortune to end the trilogy but keep the smallest possibility of a sequel open and then maybe bring it back on the PS4. Since Uncharted is Naughty Dog’s best-selling franchise I wouldn’t be at all surprised if we saw one earlier than that, in either the form of a spin-off (see Uncharted Racing) or a full-fledged sequel. Either way, I think that Naughty Dog needs to put Uncharted to rest for a while and work on something else, which leads us to out next option…
3) Make Jak 4!!!
Want? (90%)
If you read my Top 5 Games that need to be Announced Now! Article you probably know that I love the Jak series. Ever since Naughty Dog let High Impact Games create The Lost Frontier I’ve been begging them to take the franchise back and make a proper Jak game. Since the Uncharted Series is going to get stale (in my opinion) pretty quickly after U3 it makes perfect sense for Naughty Dog to go back to their Jak series and give it the credit it deserves. Jak games have always scored ridiculously high and sold pretty well too. If Naughty Dog is up to it (or is willing to pass down duties to another dev) they could do a Jak HD series similar to the Sly Cooper or GoW HD collections. Not only would this generate sales and introduce new gamers to the series but it could also tie in nicely if they did decide to make Jak 4.

Please Naughty Dog. Do
4) Create a new IP.
Want? (60%)
This is the last option that I can see Naughty Dog doing upon release of Uncharted 3. Usually after doing the trilogy Naughty Dog creates a new IP or does a quick spin-off. If they do decide they are done with Uncharted or want to take a break from Drake for a while why not spend the next few years really showcasing what the PS3 can do by creating a complete new trilogy with a complete new cast of characters? It would be a great opportunity for Naughty Dog to close their generation on the PS3 and prep for the PS4

10 Ways to Ruin a Video Game
Please Favourite and Subscribe to this blog for more exciting content!
We have all played games plagued with tons of issues making us wonder why the developers put it in the game in the first place. From design choices to technical issues, what is it that ruins a game for us gamers?
Most of the games on this list are still good, some even awesome games. However they are being kept away from perfection due to the reasons on this list.
————————————————————————–
10) Pacing Issues
Offender: Dragon Age Origins
We have all played games with pacing issues. It might be a minor issue but playing the game at such a wonky pace and going from action to story at wrong times can really take the gamer out of the experience.
9) Lack of Innovation
Offender: Call of Duty/Medal of Honor
I don’t know how many times I’ve played the same variation of shooter under a different title. The shooter genre is so stale that creativity is just not seen in these games. I’m tired off playing the same serious war game with the same serious story with the same boring focus on multiplayer. Games like Bulletstorm have tried to spice it up, but these games are not for everyone.
8- Bad Story/Plot Holes
Offender: Modern Warfare 2
I love games with good stories and hate games with bad stories. Games which that are littered with plot holes or based around the same old cliché story (Resistance anyone?) can barely manage to get past a 7/10 review in my books.

Games such as Modern Warfare 2 are filled with these kinds of issues
7) Bad Level Design
Offender: The Saboteur
Level Design is one of the critical aspects in making sure that we get the best experience possible out of out games. Games like Demon’s Souls excel in this aspect. On the other hand, games such as The Saboteur do terrible. I really don’t want to walk around the same castle looking at the bland colors and the uncluttered area. It makes it feel like the developers left a big gap in developing the game.
6) Ditching the First Game
Offender: Crysis 2
When you create a sequel, typically you want to stay true to the first game, which made the franchise so great. Games such as Crysis 2 are prime examples. I loved Crysis 2 as much as the next guy but Crysis 1 and Crysis Warhead really held a special spot in my heart. So as you can imagine, I was quiet frustrated when Nomad and Psycho didn’t even get a mention in Crytek’s latest game.
5) Repetition
Offender: Assassins Creed
Play a mission, play a different mission and then rinse and repeat the same mission over, and over again. Games like Assassins Creed (The 1st game) which only have 4 different missions and force you to replay these multiple times, really took a hit in the review department. If there is a good variety in mission chose you can expect gamers to be much more happy as they are not repeating the same redundant task over and over.
4) Glitches
Offender: Any Large Scale Sandbox Game/GTA 4
Glitches plague many games across almost every genre and when you get a game that is real polished, its a nice treat. We have all played those games which we can barely make it through because of all the glitches. While it is to be expected in huge sandbox games such as Fallout or The Elder Scrolls it is annoying when smaller, linear games have more issues rendering them unplayable. So this is a message for all developers out there…TEST YOUR GAMES!
3) On Disc-DLC
Offender: Soul Caliber 4/Dragon Age
Something that really annoys us gamers is when developers create content for a game and then remove it at the last second and charge users to play it. A prime example of this is in both Dragon Age games where we are forced to pay for content that was purposely removed from the game. So devs, if you are making a game keep all the content on disc and make sure it’s all unlocked. Its understandable if you wanted to keep few things locked for pre-orders sake (Mortal Kombat) but please don’t make me pay 10$ for something that you should have already included.
2) Bad Servers
Offender: UFC 2010/Killzone 2
Many gamers buy games just to play online with their friends or random people across the world. I do not usually play online but you can feel my frustration when I lag out on the games I want to play online. Many sport games are haunted by this issue just because they are using GameSpy servers (If you ever played UFC online you know what I mean) It is especially annoying when games that do not have lots of traffic lag out while games like Call of Duty with millions of players online at a time do exceptionally fine.
1) Broken Mechanics
Offender: S.T.A.L.K.E.R/Fable 2
Like glitches, Broken Mechanics in games can effectively ruin a game. Game which show that no time went into the QA sessions are simply not worth playing. If you advertise your game as an Epic RPG adventure why does it not play that way?

Broken Mechanics galore! being an RPG is not an excuse
Top 5 Games that need to be announced NOW!
There is always those few games which hold a special spot in our heart and just beg us to play their sequels. What happens if these sequels are not announced? I mean we expect them to be made one day but years and years go by and we don’t get them; What’s the deal!
This is NGR’s list of Top 5 Games that need to be announced NOW!
5) Alan Wake 2

Alan Wake was a story driven, psychological thriller. Can we expect the same from its sequel?
Probability of happening: (90%)
The First Alan Wake game came out in May 2010 and a sequel was announced but E3 has passed and gone we have heard nothing! Alan Wake met pretty good reviews and sold pretty well so Remedy Entertainment probably will role out Alan Wake 2 sooner than we think.
4) Assassin’s Creed 3

For some reason I feel like I have already played Revelations. I think it's time for a new Assassin, new setting and a new experience.
Probability of happening: (95%)
Ill admit, when Assassin’s Creed Revelations was announced a few weeks ago, I was feeling a little betrayed. The series that had birthed 6 years ago at the start of the generation was slowly and slowly becoming more of a cash cow. First we had Brotherhood and now Revelations, when will the madness end?
The Assassin’s Creed franchise is one of Ubisofts biggest grossing franchises so it makes sense that they would finish off there trilogy with Assassins Creed 3 (However I expect more spin-offs and “expansions”)
3) Grand Theft Auto 5

Looks awesome right? It might be a fake but I still hope that GTA 5 can offer me the same level of gaming that its predecessor did.
Probability of happening: (70%)
Grand Theft Auto has almost become a household name. Grand Theft Auto 4 came out in 2008 and was a humongous hit. It made lots of money, got decent reviews and kept gamers entertained for hours and hours as they played through GTA’s intense single player (hooker bashing anyone?) and it’s multiplayer.
GTA 5 has been rumoured for years and tons of fake images have shown themselves all over the internet but Rockstar has taken it’s time before bringing back its behemoth franchise.
2) God of War 4

OK guys, we don't want to piss of Kratos, so just announce GOW4 already...please?
Probability of happening: (50%)
Games like God of War 3 was one of the many reasons that the PS3 has sold so well the past couple years. David Jaffe’s vision of the God of War saga started in 2005 when the first game was released. The series has gone on to spawn 2 sequels, an HD collection and 2 PSP games. (Which are to be released on the PS3 as GOW: Origins) Each game feels unique and really showcases the power of the PS3 and PSP. God of War 3 was released in 2010 and was a huge hit, winning multiple Game-of-the-Year awards. The developers have previously stated that GOW3 would be the last game on the PS3 but that ending left a lot of doubts, amirite?
1) Jak 4

We have had three awesome Jak games and the spinoff Jak X racing. (lets just forget about the Lost Frontier) So can we please have Jak 4 made by Naughty Dog!
Probability of happening: (25%)
I really thought that a few months ago we would be seeing a Jak 4 announcement instead of Uncharted 3. Naughty Dog is an awesome company filled with some talented developers and I really hoped that after Uncharted 2 they would go back to the Jak series and finish it off with a BANG! I suppose that the Uncharted Franchise is their best selling (albeit the best received) work that they have created, but is it really that much to ask to go back to their gem Jak and Daxter?!
And please, Naughty Dog don’t give the franchise up like you did Crash Bandicoot (Crash games suck now), High Impact games ruined my fond memories of Jak and Daxter with their Lost Frontier game which honestly really hurt the franchise’s credibility.
I just want a Jak game by Naughty Dog!
